Cargo boxes stolen from Maldivian office at Hoarafushi airport

Maldivian Airlines office at Haa Alifu Hoarafushi airport was burgled early on Sunday, with two cargo boxes reported stolen.

Police said they received a report of the break-in at around 4am.

“So far, investigation has found that two boxes of cargo have been stolen from the office,” a police spokesperson said.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, police added.

A Hoarafushi resident told Mihaaru News that the suspect was wearing a mask at the time of the burglary, but said it was not yet clear what the stolen boxes contained.
