The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has launched its action plan and activity calendar for next year, outlining its key priorities and programmes.
The plan was unveiled at a ceremony held at the Islamic Centre yesterday by the minister of Islamic affairs, Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.
According to the ministry, the action plan sets out the main areas of work to be undertaken in the coming year and has been designed to ensure activities align with its stated objectives.
The ministry said it has been operating under structured action plans in both 2024 and this year.
Speaking at the event, Shaheem said the government was implementing President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s manifesto commitment to strengthening Islamic values in the Maldives with “determination and sincerity”, aimed at promoting Islamic guidance among the Maldivian community.
The ministry said the action plan for next year was developed through consultations with all of its departments.
