National project to train Maldivian therapists to launch next month

A national project aimed at training Maldivian therapists will be launched next month following a decision by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, the Higher Education Ministry has said.

In a post shared on social media, the ministry said the programme will train 250 Maldivians in specialised fields including speech therapy, occupational therapy, behavioural therapy and psychotherapy.

The project is scheduled to begin next month, with further details to be announced closer to the launch, the ministry said.
