No question asked on faiths other than Islam: HRCM

Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM) stated last night that none of their research has covered whether any religion other than Islam should be in Maldives.

In response to rumors regarding HRCM, the statement they had released reads that their work is built on the foundation of Islamic law, the Maldivian constitution, laws and agreements signed and acted on in Maldives.

"This commission has never given permission that goes against such a situation, nor have we empowered any talk regarding such matters," HRCM's statement said.

HRCM assured that their work is built on the foundation of Islamic law, the Maldivian constitution, laws and agreements signed and acted on in Maldives. HRCM also said that they always prioritize Islamic law, Islam's rules, and the stakes of Maldivians and the state.
