MTCC to reclaim land in Fares-Maathodaa, RDC awarded Fiyoree road development

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been awarded the land reclamation and beach protection project in Gaafu Dhaalu Fares-Maathodaa at a cost of MVR 142.6 million.

According to the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure, the project will be completed within 270 days and includes the reclamation of 18 hectares of land and the installation of 620 meters of boulder rock revetment.

The road construction project in Gaafu Dhaalu Fiyoree has been awarded to Road Development Corporation (RDC) for MVR 71 million. The ministry has given RDC 730 days to complete the project.

The agreements were signed by Construction Minister Dr Abdulla Muththalib on behalf of the government. MTCC Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Jamsheed signed for MTCC, while RDC Managing Director Ibrahim Nazeem signed on behalf of RDC.
