The police have said that nine announcements have been made in order to produce a man to Criminal Court for a case.

The police are searching for 26 year old Izam Zahir, GDh. Vaadhoo.

The announcement that the police were searching for him was made on 11th June 2024 on their website, complete with a picture. The subsequent announcements were made as he had not attended court for his hearing.

The police stated that the court had ordered them time and time again to hold Izam in remand in order to bring him to court. They also stated that they had made the search announcement nine times, with their work to find him so far having not produced any results.

The police's announcement does not include any details regarding Izam's case. However, sources state that he is being looked for in connection to a rape case.
