Power outage hits parts of Hulhumale' Phase 1

Parts of Hulhumale' Phase 1 were without electricity for more than an hour this morning following a power outage.

The disruption began shortly after 9 am and power had not been fully restored at the time of reporting.

State Electric Company (Stelco) said the outage was caused by a technical fault affecting some areas of Hulhumale' and that work was under way to identify and resolve the issue.

“We apologize for the inconvenience caused,” the company said.
