CCTV monitoring command centre established in Hulhumale'

A CCTV monitoring command centre has been established to strengthen security in the densely populated Hulhumale'.

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) said the command centre has been set up as part of efforts to make Hulhumale' a safer place for residents. The facility is located at Vinares Tower and allows real-time monitoring of activities across Hulhumale'.

According to HDC, the centre will provide oversight of public spaces, streets and residential areas, enhancing rapid response and crime prevention.

HDC has also introduced an estate security service, offering 24-hour security coverage for streets, public areas and buildings in Hulhumale'.

In addition, CCTV cameras have recently been installed outside the towers of the Hiyaa flats. Cameras are already in place on every floor, stairway, lift and basement of the Hiyaa residential blocks.
