Bank of Maldives (BML) has installed two Maldivian rufiyaa (MVR) ATMs and one US dollar (USD) ATM in Hulhumale' Phase 2 to improve access to banking services for residents and businesses in the area.
One MVR ATM centre has been established on land adjacent to Hiyaa Tower 6, while a combined MVR and USD ATM centre has been set up at the Hiyaa area in front of the STELCO flats.
The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed, BML Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, along with senior officials from the bank.
Speaking at the event, Shareef said BML remains committed to expanding access to financial services across the country.
“We are always striving to make financial services as accessible as possible for all communities. These ATM centres reflect the importance BML places on providing convenient and reliable services that meet the needs of individuals and businesses,” he said.

BML already provides a full range of banking services in Hulhumale' Phase 1, including a branch, four self-service banking ATM centres, and a self-service banking centre. In Hulhumale' Phase 2, the bank also operates a self-service banking centre.
Additionally, MVR and USD ATM services are available at the Renaatus Ithaa Muiy building in Hulhumale' Phase 1.

The new MVR and USD ATM centre in Hulhumale' Phase 2 was officially opened yesterday. Later that evening, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with residents of the area at a gathering held at Salahuddin School at 8:30 pm.
BML currently operates 42 branches and 267 ATMs across 20 atolls, maintaining a nationwide banking network. The bank said that through its expanding self-service banking centres and advanced digital banking services, it aims to continue supporting individuals, businesses and communities throughout Maldives.
