74 illegal businesses shut down

The Economic Ministry announced in a post on X that under their operation to identify illegal businesses commenced on November 29, 74 businesses have been shut down as of Monday this week.

The government has identified and shut down 74 businesses being run illegally in the country. 

The Economic Ministry announced in a post on X that under their operation to identify illegal businesses commenced on November 29, 74 businesses have been shut down as of Monday this week. 

The ministry said that they had received 252 complaints regarding illegal businesses during this period. 

In response to these complaints, the ministry inspected 98 businesses. 

Of these, 37 were shut down, the ministry said. 25 others were shut down for violation of laws related to the ministry, and 12 for violating other laws. With this, a total of 74 businesses have been shut down. 

Only eight of the businesses closed during this period have been approved to reopen. 

The ministry did not disclose names and details of the businesses involved.
