NSPA spent MVR 7.6 million on private hospital care in November

A total of MVR 7,598,203.12 was spent by NSPA on 444 cases at these ADK Hospital and Tree Top Hospital in November.

In November, National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) allocated MVR 7.6 million in medical coverage for in-patient treatments at ADK Hospital and Tree Top Hospital, the two largest hospitals in the Male' region. 

Monthly statistics for November published by the NSPA today show that MVR 4.5 million was extended to 278 patients at Tree Top Hospital who applied for financial assistance. 

Of this, MVR 1.2 million went towards 44 patients seeking treatment for orthopaedic ailments. The second highest amount, at over MVR 871,000 for 19 cases, was for paediatric patients. NSPA also released over MVR 820,000 to Tree Top Hospital for 60 childbirth cases. 

The statistics also show that NSPA issued MVR 3.05 million to ADK Hospital for 166 patients that sought financial assistance. 

At ADK, the highest amount was spent by NSPA for spine and neuro cases. MVR 754,000 was spent on 17 such cases. 

The second highest spending was on cardiac patients, with over MVR 618,000 issued for 16 cases. 

A total of MVR 7,598,203.12 was spent by NSPA on 444 cases at these two hospitals in November.
