Estate Security Services introduced in Hulhumale'

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has launched Estate Security Services, aimed at maintaining security at public spaces, buildings and streets of Hulhumale'.

HDC announced in a social media post that the service was inaugurated at the 'Safer Hulhumale' event held in Farukolhufushi last night. 

Estate Security Services was launched for the purpose of ensuring Hulhumale' is a safe neighbourhood, HDC said. 

HDC Managing Director Ali Zuhair said that the company, even at present, oversees security at many building, offices and business outlets in Hulhumale', which has a high population that continues to grow. 

Zuhair stated that extensive measures are being taken to further strengthen and reform the security services being currently provided. 

"God willing, we are taking the first step today. An official brand, Estate Security, has now been launched for our security services," he said. 

Estate Security Services will have both security guards and security officers, Zuhair explained. Estate Security personnel will work around the clock to provide security services at public spaces, buildings and streets of Hulhumale'. They will be wearing designated uniforms while on duty. 

Hulhumale' security will now be overseen by a team of about 50 personnel. 

The official uniform for Estate Security Services was unveiled during last night's event at Farukolhufushi. 

MACL, which operates Velana International Airport, also launched Estate Security Services earlier this year to manage security at public spaces in Hulhule'. 

HDC currently has security personnel at Hiyaa Flats and Vinares Flats, which are under their care. 

A similar service was introduced in Male' as well when President Dr Mohamed Muizzu served as Male' Mayor, under the name of Community Engagement Officers.
