Nautilus Foundation donates MVR 150,000 for cancer awareness

Nautilus Foundation has donated MVR 150,000 to support the Cancer Society of Maldives’ efforts to raise public awareness about cancer.

In a statement issued today, the foundation said it has signed a partnership agreement with the Cancer Society to support programmes focused on cancer screening, prevention and public education.

As part of the collaboration, Manta Air will facilitate travel for Cancer Society teams conducting screening and awareness programmes across islands in Maldives.

The foundation said it is committed to supporting community wellness initiatives, particularly in the area of health awareness, and intends to continue entering into similar partnerships in the future.

According to Nautilus, the funds will be used to support the Cancer Society’s ongoing cancer related programmes nationwide.

The Nautilus Foundation was established in memory of Dr Ibrahim Umar Manik, in recognition of his contributions to the country. The foundation supports initiatives aimed at developing human capacity in key national sectors.
