Maldives Immigration has raided four more massage parlours being operated in Male' and detained five expatriates.
Immigration said today that these individuals were detained in an operation conducted last night as part of the crackdown on illegal businesses being operated by expatriates.
The five individuals detained last night were women who were working illegally, outside the boundaries of the visa issued to them, according to Immigration.

This week, Immigration has searched and shut down eight massage parlours. Seven expatriates were arrested from these.
Immigration has not disclosed whether any of the parlours inspected last night were shut down.
There has always been allegations that massage parlours are used as fronts for prostitution. Expatriates are known to advertise this on social media.
