Four Indian nationals have been arrested in after police seized what they allege was drugs guised as protein powder.
The men, aged 53, 35, 33 and 28, were arrested on suspicion of drug use and possession.
At a closed hearing at the Criminal Court, they denied the allegations, insisting the substance was protein powder, not narcotics.
The court said police had presented sufficient preliminary evidence to indicate a possible crime, based on a statement by an investigating officer. All four were remanded in custody for five days, with the judge citing concerns they could flee and the need to protect public safety.
Police said the seized powder was suspected to contain illicit substances, pending laboratory confirmation.
Provisional test results are expected within three days, with the samples prioritized for urgent analysis.
