The suspect who had thrown drugs into the Hulhumale' Halfway House, a center that provides treatment for those with drug addictions, has been arrested.

Mohamed Azleen (H. Sunnyway) was arrested after being charged with drug use, possession and trade. The Criminal Court sentenced him to 15 days in prison yesterday.

As per the Criminal Court's order, he had driven close to the Halfway House on a motorbike, threw something into the center and drove off, with it being captured by CCTV cameras.

He told the court that he did not throw anything into the Halfway House and all he did was ask someone who was there how they were doing and had left.

However, the court determined that they had sufficient evidence for the allegation against him, with statements from police on the scene and CCTV footage being in line with the allegation.

And so it was ruled that he may pose a danger to the community, with him being sentenced to 15 days in prison.
