New deputy commissioner appointed to Correctional Service

The Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) today announced the appointment of a new Deputy Commissioner.

Corrections stated that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Ahmed Sobah, who previously served as the Deputy Superintendent of Prisons within the MCS, as the new Deputy Commissioner.

Sobah has a long tenure, having served the Correctional Service for over 21 years.

He succeeds Ibrahim Mohamed Didi, who was the last Deputy Commissioner of the prison oversight agency. Didi retired from the position on November 26th, after serving Corrections for approximately two decades.
