Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has begun handing over flats in an
additional five towers of the 4,000-unit housing project built in Hulhumalé
Phase 2.
Previously, FDC began handing over keys for flats in
Tower 14. Today, FDC announced that key handover has commenced for Towers 11,
12, 13, 15, and 16. Each of these towers contains 120 flats.
FDC stated that the key handover process will proceed
daily from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
FDC Managing Director Hamdhaan Shakeel told
"Mihaaru News" that the corporation aims to stick to the previously
determined schedule for the handover.
"Our goal is to start the key handover process
for all towers before the end of this year," Shakeel said.
The first tower to begin resident occupation was Tower
14 of the "Amaan Udhares" segment, where residents started moving in
early last October. While FDC initially suggested that all flats in that tower
would be handed over by the end of December, the revised schedule indicates the
completion of all handovers will be in the last week of January.
Revised key handover schedule:
The
revised estimated schedule for the FDC key handover for the Hiyaa flats in
Hulhumalé Phase 2 is between December 2025 and January 2026. Amaan
Udhares Towers 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16 are expected to be handed over
around the second week of December.
The
remaining Amaan Udhares flats will be distributed in January: Towers 5 and 6, and Tower
8, are scheduled for the third week of January, while Towers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7
will be handed over in the fourth week of January. Towers 9 and 10 are slated
for the fifth week of January.
Amaan
Dhoadhi Towers 15 and 16 are also set for the second week of January.
The rest of the Amaan Dhoadhi towers 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, 13, 14, and 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,
10, and 11 are all scheduled for handover during the last week of January.
The process for key handover began after FDC opened the window for
successful applicants to pay the security deposit in early September. Many have
since completed the security deposit payment. FDC previously announced that the
specific key collection date would be notified via the portal after the deposit
payment.
- Residents will not be required to pay rent for the first three months starting from the key handover date. However, the maintenance fee must be paid during this period.
- The project includes two-bedroom and three-bedroom units.
- The monthly payment for a two-bedroom flat is MVR 8,000, inclusive of the maintenance fee.
- The monthly payment for a three-bedroom flat is MVR 11,500, inclusive of the maintenance fee.
The project involves 32 towers, ranging from 17 to 18 stories, built by two
Indian companies. While the construction of all towers is complete, the focus
is currently on the finishing works.
