Work begins to send textbooks for new academic year

Ministry of Education has begun distributing textbooks to schools ahead of the new academic year, which starts on 27 January.

The ministry said it was working with schools early to ensure all students receive the required books before classes resume. Deliveries to schools began today.

The current academic year ends on 25 December.

According to next year’s school calendar, the first term will run from 27 January to 17 July, with a mid-term break from 24 to 30 May.

Schools will reopen for the second term on 2 August, with a mid-break scheduled from 13 to 19 September.

The academic year will conclude on 18 December, followed by a holiday until 12 January.
