President Muizzu to meet Henveiru residents tomorrow night

President Mohamed Muizzu will meet residents of Henveiru tomorrow night as part of his ongoing series of consultations with communities across Male'.

President Muizzu began the neighborhood meetings on 23 November and has so far met residents of Vilimale', Machchangolhi and Maafannu. His most recent visit was to Maafannu last Thursday.

In a post on X, president’s office spokesperson, Heena Waleed, said President Muizzu would meet Henveiru residents at 8.30pm on tomorrow night.

She said the purpose of the meetings was to hear people’s views and consult them on a range of local issues. All residents of the ward have been invited.

President Muizzu announced the neighborhood meetings during an event marking his government’s second anniversary. He has also visited every inhabited island during his two years in office.

At Thursday's meeting in Maafannu, the President pledged to follow up on concerns raised by the public.

“I will attend to them directly,” he said.

“I will send them to the relevant ministries, companies and institutions in accordance with the rules and regulations.”
