Hiyaa flats agreement amendments and price updates now on HDC portal

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has made amendments to the agreements and price changes for Hiyaa flats in Hulhumale’ Phase 2 available on its “My Hulhumale’ Portal.”

In a press release, HDC said the move formalizes the government’s concessions for flat recipients.

Residents who have signed agreements can now view the updated terms and complete the necessary documentation online, helping to expedite ownership processes.

The government previously promised to reimburse recipients for their own expenses on flat finishing.

Last year, the rent for Hiyaa flats was reduced by MVR 200,000 to reflect this commitment, bringing the current rent to MVR 4,984 per month, including maintenance fees.

Hiyaa housing consists of 6,720 flats across 16 towers. Rent had initially been set at MVR 7,500 per month, but was reduced to MVR 5,300 by the previous administration in May 2023, ahead of the presidential election.
