Police to tow illegally parked vehicles in Hulhumale'

Police have announced that vehicles parked against regulations on the streets and empty plots of land in Hulhumale' will be towed from next Sunday onwards. 

Police said that they will be working with relevant institutions to tow illegally parked vehicles, unregistered vehicles, and vehicles registered to zones other than A zone parked on public streets and plots in Hulhumale'. 

Police stated that the vehicles will be towed to a designated yard, and they will not be held liable for any damage during towing or storage. Owners are responsible for retrieving their vehicles once released. 

With the towing scheduled for Sunday, Police advised to remove such vehicles before 11:30pm on Saturday.

Illegal parking in the Male' area has been a rising issue of late, with Police towing offending vehicles at times.
