FDC announces new dates for flat handover

Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has announced new dates for when the 4000 flats will be completed and handed over. 

Of the 4000 FDC flats constructed in Hulhumale' Phase 2, flats at Amaan Udhares 14 were the first to be handed over to recipients. Residents began moving in to Amaan Udhares 14 from early October. 

FDC earlier stated that flats from the remaining towers would be handed over by the end of December. However, the newly announced dates indicate that the flats will be handed over by the last week of January.

- Amaan Udhares 11, 12, 13, 15 and 16 - Second week of December

- Amaan Udhares 8 - Third week of January

- Amaan Udhares 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7 - Fourth week of January

- Amaan Udhares 5 and 6 - Third week of January

- Amaan Udhares 9 and 10 - Fifth week of January

- Amaan Dhoadhi 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, 13 and 14 - Fifth week of January

- Amaan Dhoadhi 15 and 16 - Second week of January

- Amaan Dhoadhi 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 - Fifth week of January

Security deposits for the flats constructed by two Indian companies was being accepted from early September onwards. Most recipients have now made the security deposit payments. FDC earlier said that once the security deposit is paid, a date for handover of keys to the apartment will be informed through their portal. 

From the date of key handover, a grace period of three months is granted in which the rent does not need to be paid. However, the maintenance fees are applicable even during this period. 

The FDC towers have two- and three-bedroom flats. The rent, inclusive of maintenance fees, for two-bedroom flats is MVR 8000, and MVR 11,500 for three-bedroom flats.
