Sunny Umar summoned to Police for questioning

Hussain Sunny Umar has been summoned to police for questioning in relation to allegations of child sexual abuse. 

The case against Sunny, a senior official of PR firm The Travel Guys Pvt Ltd, which operates a travel agency and the travel media platform Travelution under its Halal tourism brand, was reported by the family of the children involved, Police have said. 

Police Media Official confirmed that Sunny has come to the Police's Family and Child Protection Unit after being summoned for questioning. Police did not clarify whether he has been arrested, nor were any further details disclosed. 

Although it was reported that Sunny was out of the country when the case was reported, it is not confirmed whether he had just arrived in the country when he had been taken for questioning. Police also did not reveal any details about this. 

There has been allegations against Sunny of child sexual abuse of multiple minors on social media. 

The Travel Guys Pvt Ltd announced that its board is reclaiming Sunny's shares, adding that the shares have not been sold to anyone else.  

The company further stated that the Travelution Media has been operated by an international core team from the beginning, and that Sunny has no involvement in the day to day running of the media.
