Police tow 100 vehicles in 48 hours

Police statistics indicate that 100 vehicles have been towed in the Male' area over a period of two days. 

Under road safety measures, 62 vehicles were towed over the past 48 hours in Male' alone. These include 60 motorcycles and 2 four-wheelers. 

Police further revealed that 38 motorcycles were towed in Hulhumale'. 30 of these were towed for illegal parking, and five for driving without a valid license. 

One motorcycle was towed for being driven after registry number was changed. Two others were towed in relation to accidents and other issues. 

In Hulhumale', 12 vehicles were fined for violating traffic regulations. These include 9 motorcycles and 3 four-wheelers. 

Police said that these vehicles were towed as part of efforts to ensure roads in Male' and Hulhumale' are free of obstruction to general traffic and pedestrians.
