Family reports sexual assault case against Sunny Umar

Hussain Sunny Umar, a senior official of PR firm The Travel Guys Pvt Ltd, which operates a travel agency and the travel media platform Travelution under its Halal tourism brand, has been accused of sexually assaulting a minor.

Police confirmed that they are investigating allegations of sexual assault against Umar but have not provided further details.

It is reported that the case was filed by the child’s family. Before the formal report, police said that they were investigating the allegations against Umar.

The case, which has gained attention on social media, claims that Umar allegedly assaulted more than one child. Reports also suggest he fled the country following the allegations surfacing against him on social media.

In response, The Travel Guys issued a statement saying the company’s board has seized Umar’s shares, which have been retained by the company and not sold to any third party.

The firm emphasized that Umar has no involvement in the day-to-day running of Travelution and that claims of his ongoing operational role are untrue.

“Travel Guys rejects harassment, exploitation and all such unlawful practices. The allegations are very serious and personal against Sunny Umar,” the company said, stressing that the accusations are unrelated to the company’s operations and that it prioritizes the dignity of individuals.
