President Dr Mohamed Muizzu last night left on a visit to the United Kingdom on the invitation of King Charles III, to join the High-level Briefing on Private Capital Mobilization organized by the Sustainable Markets Initiative (SMI).
The meeting will be attended by senior officials of multilateral development banks and other major financial institutions, the President's Office said.
The event is aimed at seeking private capital to boost sustainable growth and climate action via global cooperation.
SMI is an initiative founded under the vision and leadership of King Charles III.
By convening CEOs and international leaders, the platform drives private-sector commitment to sustainability, guiding companies towards responsible growth aligned with climate targets and the 1.5°C pathway.
President Muizzu's most recent trip to the UK was in July this year. During the trip, in addition to high-level meetings seeking to further strengthen Maldives-UK ties, Maldives hosted a business forum in London.
The President also met with King Charles III at the Windsor Castle during the July trip.
