Nasreen resigns as PSM Managing Director

Public Service Media (PSM)'s Managing Director, Ibrahim Nasreen, resigned from his post today, a year and one week after his appointment.

A person familiar with the matter said Nasreen stepped down in order to take up a position at a government ministry. He was appointed MD on 23 December 2024.

The reasons for his abrupt departure remain unclear. Nasreen has spent most of his career in state media, joining PSM 15 years ago.

He previously served as the company’s Chief Commercial Officer, E-commerce Director, and later as Sales and Marketing Director before assuming the role of Managing Director.

He is the third Managing Director appointed to PSM under the current administration, following Zeena Zahir and Mohamed Saeed, both of whom resigned during their tenures.
