Seven pumps set up across Male' to drain rainwater

As per the MNDF, the Fire and Rescue Service have begun draining the water after heavy rain flooded Male' streets.

As Male's streets are flooded with rainwater, MNDF officers have set up pumps in various areas and have begun draining the water.

As per the MNDF, the Fire and Rescue Service have begun draining the water after heavy rain flooded Male' streets.

MNDF has said that seven pumps have been set up across Male', with police working to drain the water.

Continuous rainfall in Male' began past 1:00pm, with it heavily flooding the streets.

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MET) put out a forecast that there would be heavy rainfall until 6:30am from Lhaviyani Atoll to Alifu Dhaalu Atoll, with the region having been put on Yellow Alert. The MET office also stated that wind speeds have picked up to 40 miles per hour.

The MET office has said they assume that for the next 24 hours and for the next three days, Maldives would see heavy rainfall, with their forecast stating rainfall will let up within next week.
