The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office (PG Office) to press criminal charges against K. Gaafaru School for failing to disclose information under the law.
The PG Office Media Official said on Wednesday that the ICO had appealed to them to press charges against Gaafaru School for failing to disclose information within the required period under the Right to Information Act and because the decision had not been appealed.
The case was lodged at the PG Office on October 30, but a decision is yet to be taken.
As reported in Mihaaru News, a Gaafaru resident had applied to the school for information regarding sorcery. Some information regarding this had been shared with the applicant.
However, ICO asked for charges to be pressed due to non-disclosure of complete information.
