The area previously used as the garage for Muliaage (the official residence of the President) on Lily Magu has been converted into a Youth Hub called "Zuvaanunge Vehi" (The Youth Center) and was officially inaugurated today by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

During the opening ceremony, Minister of Youth Ibrahim Waheed (Asward) stated that the facility will be available for artists to work, and for NGOs and youth groups to hold meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

Asward also highlighted that the hub includes:

·         A specialized area for music recording.

·         A dedicated service area called the "Happiness Lounge" focused on youth mental well-being.

·         Study rooms available for students upon presentation of their student cards.

The building previously used as the Muliaage garage was first opened as a dedicated youth space on August 23, 1980. However, it was converted back into the Muliaage garage 11 years later. The decision to once again utilize the location for youth activities was made in November 2024.
