Man arrested over woman's abduction

Police have arrested an individual in relation to the case where a woman was held against her will in a Maafannu residence earlier this week. 

Police received reports on Tuesday of an 18 year old woman being held illegally and subjected to physical abuse. 

Police have revealed that the man arrested in connection to this case is Ahmed Ahil Munaz, 19, H. Four Season. 

When presented in court for his remand hearing, he was placed in remand in custody for 15 days. 

Although Police confirmed that they are continuing to investigate this case, they did not disclose any further details. The motive behind the abduction, and the accused's relation to the victim is thus unclear.
