Three individuals have been charged yesterday with intentional murder for the death of AbduRahman. 

The Prosecutor General's Office stated that the three individuals arrested for attacking and killing AbduRahman while he had been sleeping at home on July 12 have been charged. The three individuals are:

- Ahmed Aashid, Fiya, AA. Maalhos

- Mohamed Visam, Lily Fehi, AA. Maalhos

- Ahmed Faris, Finivaage, AA. Maalhos

Aashid was charged with intentional murder under the Act on Prohibiting Threatening and Possession of Dangerous and Sharp Weapons. 

Visam and Faris are charged with being accomplices in an intentional murder under the same Act. 

The three were arrested for the murder of 65 year old AbduRahman in August, and were placed in remand in custody until the end of trial. 

AbduRahman was attacked while he has been sleeping in his wife's residence, Maahiya in AA. Maalhos. He was discovered severely injured by his wife and was rushed to the island's health centre, where he succumbed to his injuries just a few hours later. The matter was reported to Police at around 1:50am on the night of the attack. 

Some Maalhos residents who visited the house after the attack reported observing blood splatter across the walls and ceiling of the bedroom.
