More than 13,000 attended PNC rally: President

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has said that more than 13,000 people attended the ruling People’s National Congress (PNC) rally held at the Artificial Beach area in Male' last night.

President Muizzu added that this turnout was the largest in the country’s political history.

“I am assured that there are more than 13,000 people here at the moment,” President Muizzu said, addressing the crowd gathered for the event.

He thanked supporters from Male' and islands across the country for travelling to take part in the event.

The rally was organised as a show of support for Muizzu’s administration ahead of its two-year anniversary on Monday.

PNC said that weekend is a major celebration marking the government’s achievements.

In his address, President Muizzu outlined the administration’s progress over the past two years, emphasizing that its policies and promises are centered on peace, development and security.

“These three areas are the order of the policies of this government. Every promise, every policy, every project is based on these three areas,” he said.
