Police announce road closures for tonight's PNC rally

Police have announced road closures and changes to traffic flow after 6pm tonight as ruling People's National Congress is holding a major rally at the Artificial Beach. 

In a post shared on social media, Police shared a map which indicates that Bodutharukufaanu Magu will be closed from Raalhugan'du to Carnival area. Five other roads connected to Boduthakurufaanu Magu in this area will also be closed. 

In addition to this, Majeedhee Magu - from Artificial Beach to Henveiru Stadium will also be closed to all traffic, and from Henvieru Stadium to Janavaree Magu will be closed to four wheeled vehicles, and be made one-way from Carnival to Majeedhee Magu. 

The roads will be closed from 6pm until the event ends, Police said. 

Supporters from across the atolls have been traveling to Male' over the past couple of days to attend tonight's PNC rally.
