Mosque vandalism suspect handed over to family

The man arrested for vandalizing a mosque has been handed over to his family. 

A 24 year old man was arrested on the scene for breaking a window of Sultan Hassan Izzudheen Mosque (Thaiba Mosque) earlier this morning. 

Police said that the man has now been handed over to his family. However, they confirmed the case remains under investigation.

In a similar case, a mosque in Hithadhoo, Addu was also vandalized last night. However, no arrests have been made as of yet in this case.
