Two mosques in Maldives have been vandalized, and authorities have launched investigations.

In Addu City Hithadhoo, damage was reported to the Sultan Hassan Izzuddin Mosque (Thoiba Mosque) around 7:00 am., and 24 year old Mohamed Mutheeu Hassan from Gaafu Alifu atoll Gemanafushi, was arrested at the scene

A mosque in Male', Masjidul Umarul Farooq, was vandalized at 5:40 pm., with Quran books, chairs, and water bottles reportedly thrown around, as shared on social media by the Mishkaath Foundation.
