Development of 200 housing units in connected islands of Addu contracted to HDC

Under this project, 100 housing units will be constructed in Hithadhoo, and 50 each in Maradhoo and Feydhoo.

A housing project in the connected islands of Addu has been handed over to Housing Development Corporation (HDC) last night, where they will be developing 200 housing units. 

The agreement was signed during a meeting at Addu High School last night to engage with residents of Feydhoo and MaradhooFeydhoo, held as part of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's ongoing visit to Addu City.

While Minister Dr Abdulla Muththalib signed on behalf of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure, Managing Director Ali Zuhair signed on behalf of HDC. 

Under this project, 100 housing units will be constructed in Hithadhoo, and 50 each in Maradhoo and Feydhoo. 

Several completed projects have been inaugurated during President Muizzu's current visit to Addu City, as well as the introduction of new development initiatives. 

Speaking in Hithadhoo last night, the President emphasized that addressing the housing difficulties is amongst his key pledges, and announced that additional housing projects would be carried out in Addu in future.
