A 1,000 bed coastal tourism project to be built in Addu was signed with Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) last night.
The agreement was signed at the meeting at Addu Hithadhoo's Addu High School during President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's ongoing visit to Addu's connected islands.
State Minister Mohamed Nashath Rasheed signed the agreement on behalf of the Tourism Ministry, with Managing Director Ahmed Niyaz signing on behalf of the MTDC.
The government stated it is a 600 room, or 1,000 bed project.

An increase of 6,000 beds in Addu for tourism development is a Presidential pledge of President Muizzu.
