MNDF to conduct activities in celebration of Victory Day

MNDF has said that they will conduct activities in celebration of Victory Day tomorrow.

MNDF stated today that the Victory Day celebrations will begin with early morning prayers tomorrow at the Islamic Center, with MNDF taking part, along with raising the national flag.

After the early morning prayers, a flag raising and guard mounting ceremony will be held tomorrow morning at the Victory Monument, 6:00am, said MNDF. As MNDF said, the Victory Day ceremony will be held at the Social Center tomorrow morning at 9:00am.

MNDF has also said there will be more activities in celebration of Victory Day at Republic Square, 4:15pm. MNDF will also feature a military performance during that time.

There will also be a military photo exhibition, a military performance and activities for children tomorrow at GDh. Thinadhoo in celebration of Victory Day.

The exhibition will be held at Thinadhoo's GDh. Atoll Education Centre this coming Friday and Saturday. The military performance and activities for children will be held on Saturday at Thinadhoo Stadium.

Victory Day is celebrated to commemorate the failure of a coup attempt in 1988.
