Housing Bill being amended with certain recommendations

During Parliament's Housing Committee's sitting today, MP's had discussed the recommendations that were submitted by the public and agencies, with the decision to bring about some amendments to the bill.

The provisions that were recommended were discussed during today's committee sitting, regarding the Housing Bill that was submitted to Parliament.

During Parliament's Housing Committee's meeting today, MP's had discussed the recommendations that were submitted by the public and agencies, with the decision to bring about some amendments to the bill.

The Housing Ministry has also decided to put forth their recommendations regarding the Housing Bill.

Housing Committee Chairman and Inguraidhoo MP Ibrahim Falah stated today that they will receive the ministry's recommendations on Tuesday.

Falah stated that upon discussion of the recommendations, amendments being made and the bill passed by the committee, he intends to submit the bill to Parliament during the first sitting of next week.

The committee held a sitting to discuss the bill this morning and afternoon.

The current government was elected into office with pledges of housing to all citizens, with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu stating that there would be no citizen who has no housing by the time his five-year term ends.
