Furqan Mosque vandalized

Furqan Mosque located in Ameenee Magu sustained damage early this morning when a rock was thrown at one of its doors, shattering the glass.

Police said the incident was reported shortly after 2:00 am, adding that an investigation is underway.

The vandalism reportedly targeted the women’s prayer area, where the outer glass door was broken using a pavement stone.

Tiles and toilet door locks were also damaged.

Several cases of mosque vandalism and theft have been reported in Male' this year.
