Three additional towers in the Aman Udhares housing project have been connected to electricity, marking another step forward in the handover process of the 4,000 flats being developed in Hulhumale' Phase 2.
According to Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC), electricity has now been supplied to Towers 11, 12, and 13, with water connections expected to be completed within the next week.
Once water is connected, the keys to the flats will be handed over to recipients.
The first set of Amaan Udhares flats in Tower 14 were handed over on September 28, with residents already settled in.
Built by two Indian companies, the project opened for security deposit submissions earlier last month. FDC said that once recipients make the required security deposit, they will receive a handover date through the housing portal.
Residents are entitled to three months of rent-free occupancy from the date of handover, although a maintenance fee must still be paid.
The complex features two-bedroom and three-bedroom units, with rents set at MVR 8,000 and MVR 11,500 per month respectively, inclusive of maintenance fees.
The Amaan Udhares project comprises 32 towers, each 17–18 storeys high, and FDC has stated that all towers are expected to be handed over by December.
