President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has begun an official visit to several inhabited islands in Lhaviyani and Kaafu atolls as part of his ongoing nationwide tour.
During the three day visit, President Muizzu will visit four islands in Lhaviyani Atoll and three islands in Kaafu Atoll. He began his trip in Olhuvelifushi, followed by visits to Kurendhoo and Hinnavaru, with a meeting scheduled in Naifaru tonight.
In the coming days, the President will travel to Kaashidhoo, Dhiffushi, and Thulusdhoo. Throughout the visit, he will meet with Island Councils and Women’s Development Committees (WDCs) to discuss development priorities, community welfare, and future projects.
President Muizzu is also expected to inaugurate several completed projects and launch new development initiatives during the trip.
The visit forms part of the President’s pledge to visit every atoll twice during his term to strengthen direct engagement with local councils and communities.
He is accompanied by Cabinet Ministers and senior government officials.
President Muizzu is scheduled to return to Male' on Wednesday. The President’s most recent visit was to Laamu Atoll last week.
