Masked robbers snatch cash-filled suitcase from BML staff

Last night, masked robbers snatched a cash-filled suitcase from two employees of a bank who had been going in to Terminal 1 at Velana International Airport. 

Police stated that they received reports of this incident at around 4:45am today. Police did not disclose which bank the staff were from, or the amount of money involved. 

However, it has been learned that the staff are employees of Bank of Maldives (BML). 

Police stated that they are investigating the theft.
