Four members appointed to NIC

Four members have been appointed to the National Integrity Commission (NIC) today.

As the term of four NIC members expired today, the President's Office opened applications for the Commission on August 20, which closed on the 7th of September.

Among the individuals who applied, the Parliament approved the appointment of the following four members:

1. Fathimath Shareef (Maakoalhi / GDh. Thinadhoo)

2. Shifaz Ali (Daftharu Number 1854)

3. Shuaib Abdulla Rahmaan (Daftharu Number 1188) 

4. Ali Mohamed Manik (Daftharu Number 1851) 

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu officially appointed these four members to the Commission today.

It is noteworthy that Shuaib is a current member of the NIC.

The NIC is composed of five members. Prior to today's appointments, the members were the Commission's President, Gasim Abdul Kareem, Vice President Aishath Shiuna, and members Aminath Shadiya, Maryam Insha Faisal, and Shuaib Abdulla Rahmaan.

The terms of the four members (Gasim, Shiuna, Shadiya, and Shuaib) expired today, with only Insha's term remaining.
