The married couple who were found deceased in a house at Addu Hithadhoo on Wednesday evening have been buried today.
The bodies of Ibrahim Abdullah (60, Hithadhoo, Crane Ge) and Farahnaaz Rasheed (52, Addu Maradhoo, Naares) were found in a house near the Hithadhoo Tourism Zone.
The police discussion regarding the postmortem to determine the cause of death went on for some time, with the bodies not being handed over to the families. However, when people began expressing their worry, the police proceeded to hand over the bodies last night without conducting a postmortem.

Ibrahim's funeral prayer was held at his native island Hithadhoo's Masjid Al Thaqwa today after Friday prayers. Farahnaz's funeral prayer was held at her native island Maradhoo's Masjid Al-Ikhlas. However, they were both buried side by side at the Maradhoo cemetery.
Many people attended their funeral today.
An individual who had entered the house told Mihaaru News that they had seen the deceased couple in the bathroom.

The individual stated that Ibrahim's head had an open wound, with Farahnaz having injuries on her body.
The police have said that they cannot find any evidence to accuse anyone but will continue the investigation.
People assume that the couple succumbed to generator smoke, with the generator that powers the house being kept in the house itself, with the house having poor ventilation.
