Chairman of Pakistan’s Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee visits Maldives

Chairman of Pakistan’s Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Akhtar, has arrived in the Maldives on an official visit.

During his visit, General Akhtar met with Defence Minister Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon to discuss ways to further strengthen military cooperation between the Maldives and Pakistan.

Several senior officers from the Pakistan Army and Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the Maldives, Vice Admiral (Retd) Faisal Rasul Lodhi, also attended the meeting.
