Teacher arrested for threatening and touching student

An Indian teacher working in a northern island has been arrested for touching a student and issuing threats. 

Police today confirmed receiving reports this month of an Indian teacher on a northern island allegedly making inappropriate comments, engaging in improper physical contact with a student, and issuing threats. 

Police said that a 54 year old Indian national has been arrested today in relation to this case. 

Police also arrested in Hulhumale' last night a Maldivian teacher who sexually assaulted a thirteen year old female student after going to her residence.
