MNDF has revealed that the fire that broke out in a Hiyaa Tower flat today was caused by an electrical short in an exhaust fan on the balcony.
No persons were injured in the incident.
MNDF said that they received reports of the fire at an apartment on the third floor of Hiyaa Tower 11 at around 11:30am today. Fire and rescue teams immediately responded, and put the fire out.
The fire caused damage to the balcony of the apartment, MNDF said.
